Grand Island is the largest island in the Niagara River and the third largest in New York State. It lies adjacent to the border of the United States and Canada, though there is no entry point between the countries on Grand Island. Paired bridges connect the southern end of the island to the Town of Tonawanda, while another pair of bridges at the northern end of the island lead to Niagara Falls in Niagara County. Grand Island is home to one of the most affluent towns in the Western New York area; with beautiful homes, abundant shopping, and the area's leading school district, Grand Island is a wonderful place to live and to work.
